What is CBG?

Tabletop games are a fantastic pastime. Friends and families are gathering around dice, cards, meeples, and boards all over the world to play games together. There are many great games out there and many resources for learning about those games. While Christians enjoy many different kinds of games, it seems to be difficult to find Christian games that are available. If you are like us, we love games with all sorts of themes and play-styles. However, occasionally we wonder what Christian games might be out there. Whispers are made of games here and there with a Christian theme, but finding where to buy them can be daunting.

Christian Board Games began as a project to bring information about Christian games everywhere to one location. There are many Christian games, even games with unique mechanics and themes out there. They are just hard to find. We are not a store. We do not sell the games listed here. We also do not charge the Publishers to list their games on this site. Our goal was to make one location to find the majority of Christian games available and how to buy them.

In our first phase, we are listing the hundreds of games that we have found and know where to buy. We are in this phase right now. Hopefully, we can get our list all added to CBG site by Fall of 2022. This will take time. Board games, especially Christian Board games, don’t last forever. So, even games we own or put on our list to add disappear before we can add them. We know about the games, but they are no longer in print and impossible to find. So, we want to get them on the site, and hopefully help them continue production.

In our second phase, we will begin adding reviews for games we can play. The only thing holding these back will be possessing the game. If we can handle and play the game, we want to offer a review that helps others better understand the mechanics and theme.

In our final phase, we want to have a YouTube channel dedicated to video introductions and reviews for Christian Tabletop games. There are many successful Youtube channels dedicated to the average Board game and Card game. However, Christian games are rarely featured or reviewed. Our coming Youtube channel will introduce and review games that are uniquely Christian.

Together we aim to provide a single location to discover Christian Board Games with information about the games and sincere reviews.
